Arsenal fans are planning to boycott Manchester United's guard of honour

Arsenal fans are rumored to boycott the guard of honour the players will have to do after Manchester United clinched the title against Aston Villa last Monday. The supporters are ready to do the ‘Poznan’ and state that Robin Van Persie who will return to the Emirates for the first time since his shock 24 million pound move to the Red Devils will get a 'horrendous' reception.

Pete Wood, from Arsenal blog The Grove, warned: “Van Persie is going to get an horrendous reception.

“Every touch is going to be booed because no one can forgive him for the way he left.

“The club stood by him during his first seven years when he was always injured. Then he has one good season and suddenly he wants to leave.

“It was the way Van Persie manipulated the move and his lack of loyalty which has upset Arsenal supporters.”

  1. I hope they do. It would be great to see a unified front from our fans on this issue. I think RVP's betrayal should not be swept under the rug. It should be front page material. I would love to see the entire stadium empty except for the away fans section for the guard of honor. That would give me great happiness to know we are so unified in our hatred of this disgrace of a player.
